N. Peter Hjorth, DMD
After earning his Swedish dental degree in 1980 at Lund’s University School of Dental Medicine, Malmö, Sweden Dr. Hjorth then worked in a group practice in the small town of Kristianstad, Sweden. In 1983 he came to the U.S. to learn and to experience dentistry “the American way”.
After coming to America Dr. Hjorth entered the John Dempsey Hospital School of Dental Medicine, University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. There he completed a 2-year Post Graduate Family Dentistry Residency. During his second year he was the Chief Resident and was voted Resident of the Year by the faculty. He earned his DMD degree after successfully completing his undergraduate training at the same school. In 1987 he opened his office in Peabody, Massachusetts.
Dr. N. Peter Hjorth is an active member in the local North Shore District Dental Society. Currently serving as the Trustee at the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is also a member in the Massachusetts Dental Society, The American Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, The Pierre Fochard Dental Society. Through his professional contacts, the Hjorth Dental Group also has an extensive list of specialists in various areas if and when it is required. "Our practice philosophy is one of utmost integrity and the welfare of our patients and staff always comes first." says Dr. Hjorth.
Personal
Dr. Hjorth was born in Sweden in 1956. Dr. Hjorth grew up in Sweden and completed all his undergraduate schooling there. He later graduated from Lund’s University with a bachelor degree in Dentistry 1980. Dr. Hjorth is married to his lovely wife Mikki and they have two children together, Christopher and Erica.
Dr. Hjorth has always felt a need to be at the forefront of new technologies and procedures. After settling locally he has become very active in community affairs, serving as the President of the Kiwanis Club of Danvers, 2002-03 and sincerely believes in giving back to the community. His hobbies include skiing, golf, running and computers.
